We have been somewhat busy but not with travel or anything outside of the house. We had a nice snowstorm this past week, that left us with 13.3 inches of snow. It is now a solid frozen winter wonderland, as the temps plummeted the following day. They have rebounded some as of today:-)
Baby Mercy is doing quite well. She is weighing in at 13 pounds 6 ounces and is 23 and a half inches long now. She can do pretty much anything any other 2 month old can do. Because she has some visual impairments she still does not smile alot but we see it coming. She is also not able to track like a 2 month old. She is at a newborn level for tracking with her eyes. Mercy is currently off a couple of her meds. She is to see the neurologist next month for a check up. She is only taking one medication and she takes it two times a day. Keppra is what it is called and she takes it at 8 am and 8 pm. Im sure as she grows the dosage will have to be adjusted should the seizures show up again. She has started physical therapy as well. She is doing so well the therapist says she is thinking of having her do therapy only once a week. It really wears her out and she usually takes a nice nap afterwards:-) We also work with Mercy ourselves. We call it Mercy school. Being a homeschool family it almost seems as if Mercy has become a school project of sorts. All the children join in on working with her even when the therapist is here.
As the holidays approach we are beginning to do the baking, and decorating for the festive season. We enjoy many things about the days to come, but most of all we rejoice in Christ's birth and the fulfillment of His ministry at Resurrection day in the observance of His death. We thank the Lord for each one of you and pray you all have a blessed holiday season!
