A little less than three weeks!
I know I don't look very wide awake, but I am truly am:-) Thank you Olivia for taking the picture. I have a little less than three weeks to my due date. I am feeling very "nesty", and anxious about getting it all done before the birth. Yet on other days I feel as if I'd rather stay in this condition forever than have to go through labor:-) Hopefully I will have an announcement soon!

baby needs
Good afternoon everyone! I am counting down yet. Really feeling the nesting urge these days, especially as I see the many things still needing to be done. I feel very overwhelmed when I think about it too much.
Since this baby is the 8th of a household of all girls, I am posting a few items that she could use. I know many people just go out and buy things, but since we have most everything I thought I would compile a brief list of things she could use yet.
First of all we have tons and tons of blankets. I have so many I can't even begin to use them all. So blankets is NOT a need.
I would like some new crib sheets, and since my lower back protests at the shopping trips I may not get out before her birth to purchase any. So crib sheets are a need, and as many as possible.
Also, those little baby washcloths. I only have about 4 left from Savannah, and they don't last long. They begin to fall apart. baby washcloths are a need.
I also would like to get what is called a bumbo seat. You can look it up on target.com if you wish. Id like to have one of these you can also get the tray for it as well, and yes Id like that too. This is not a need but something to make life with a baby and several homeschool little ones much easier. I already have two swings which I do not use as I don't have the room to set them up, I already have two high chairs, and plenty of various size car seats. I only like the umbrella type strollers not the hulky bulky kind that take up major space in your car and even more effort to set up. I could use a new one of those (Umbrella stroller) but I do still have the one from Lily.
Another need would be those teeny-tiny socks. I don't have many of those either. So that would be a need.
things I don't need would be:
onesies/t-shirts. I bought a bunch of these at a rummage sale. Plus what I already have.
Blankets
shoes -I think putting a newborn in shoes is ubsurd!
Snowsuits
bath supplies
crib/bassinet/changing table/swing
I have diapers too.
I also do NOT need bibs. I seem to aquire many of these and do not use them ever.
Also remember that we have "dorm" style sleeping in our house. I do NOT have a baby nursery. She will never have her own room. So PLEASE do NOT bring over cute-sy wallhangings, pictures, and such like for a nursery as I do not have this.
Things we DO need:
tiny newborn sized socks
bumbo seat with tray
crib sheets
baby washcloths
a new umbrella stroller
So there ya have it. Any questions send it either to my email address or send a comment right here.
Hopefully soon I will be sharing pictures of a newborn:-) Who's name has still yet to be revealed!

4wks and counting!

Went to the doctor today. I am 4 weeks to my due date. She said "it" could happen anytime now, but baby is still really high up in the pelvis. I went to the chiropractors office to get some relief from these aching hips and he adjusted me and the round ligament and hopefully it will get this little one moving towards the outside:-)
I am hoping I still have a couple weeks to go as we don't have the addition quite done yet. Just trimming around the windows and doors and floor covering. We have paint on the walls now, a lovely shade of light blue.
I am posting the tummy pictures and the latest picture of our addition.

Frugal Fridays!

for the frugal friday post I am going to post pictures of our new addition on our house. This has saved us a great deal of money by adding on a small room instead of purchasing a different house. Our home is already paid for so we did not want to aquire a mortgage again. This addition will make just enough room to put some of our book shelves in and my sewing table, and some of the little girls kitchen play toys. By doing this we will have "de-cluttered" several rooms making more space to move around in, and also this will also allow us to set up a crib and changing table in the downstairs so when the new baby falls asleep in my arms I will have a place to put her without having to go upstairs. I will also be able to change her diapers downstairs as well, a luxury I've never had before. So here are the pics., oh by the way the addition is pretty much finished now ( haven't taken any new pics) we just have the trimming and painting to do, and get some flooring down. We now have the walls primed for paint and electricity! Now for real here are the pics:-)

a fresh idea

Dear blog readers:
Starting next week I will be four weeks from my estimated due date. I intend (Lord willing) to take a picture every Tuesday of my belly (fully clothed of course) to count down to the birth of our 8th little girl. I do have a name picked out, but maybe some of you readers may want to take a guess hmmmm. Here are the names of my children so far: Jaimie Lee, Jessica Christine, Emily Dianne, Olivia Rose, Abigail Faith, Lillian Grace, and Savannah Hope. Maybe listing these will help some of you, but nope I am not giving any other hints as to what her name will be..........yet.:-) so stay tuned.

Mom's 70 th birthday party.

Yesterday (saturday) we all gathered together at my parents home to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. Her birthday was actually tuesday, but it suited most of our family to gather with her on Saturday. We were actually celebrating her life not so much her birth. Many of you know that just one month ago we weren't sure we would be celebrating anything with her. She showed everyone though, that God is the Great physician and that man has no control over an all loving God. She is still recovering but gaining her strength back each and every day.
We arrived there at 5pm. She we had a cake for her. It had a picture on it of her when she was 20 yrs old, taken in her mother tulip garden. My dad used to keep it in his foot locker when he was in the army. I don't think she was really surprised that we all came to wish her a happy birthday, but I think she was much more surprised by the picture that was on the cake. She felt like a celebrity! Mom still tires out easily, so we all only stayed a few hours. Normally we would have gathered in the afternoon had a cookout and stayed til almost dark, but we had mercy on her and dad :-) I think we all had a great time!
