A little update.......of sorts

I will give you all a brief update on our family. First of all little Mercy had her EEG on the 16th of this month. It looked very good. It still had some abnormalities, but she is definately improving. Mercy is also being weaned off all of her medications, and has not had a seizure yet! She is weighing 12 pounds 9 ounces and is 23 inches long. She begins physical therapy on Tues the first of Dec. and will be evaluated for speech therapy on the afternoon of the 8th of Dec. She is still not very interested in nursing but sucks on my finger like crazy! Im not sure if I want to laugh or cry when she does this.

We are doing well around here and have not had a lot of activities. We are trying to stay at home as much as possible to avoid illness. We spend our days homeschooling, taking care of our household chores, and various other things.

We had a lovely visit with Emily's new "friend". He came all the way from Texas to visit her for the weekend. She is officially dating this young man. His name is Verlin Yoder, and is quiet, sweet and very handsome as our little ones have said:-)

We also celebrated our granddaughter Eva's first birthday. She turned 1 on the 22 nd of November. She is turning into a very sweet, and smart little princess!

Our Jessica is still in Wyoming, and we are looking forward to a brief visit from her at Christmas.

I hope everyone had a blessed thanksgiving. Our family had many many things to be thankful for this year. It is wonderful to serve a merciful heavenly Father!

a quick post

It has been a while since my last post. I have been very very busy these days! First of all our Jessica was home from the 1st of this month until the 13th. We were so very sad to see her leave again back to Wyoming. Her time there will be almost done in January. Baby Mercy is doing very well. She is getting stronger everyday and her eyes are beginning to focus much better now. She has the nystagmus but it's not nearly as bad as it was. Her muscle tone has become much better just in the past week. She was weighed on the 12 th of this month as she weighs 12 pounds 1 ounce and is 22 and ahalf inches long. She has discharged out of home nursing care now and is looking at starting physical therapy, and speech therapy for her eating issues. Hopefully this will get her nursing. On the 4 th of this month we took a trip to Madison where we went to Build-a-Bear workshop, and all the girls build stuffed animals and picked out clothing for them. Yup even Jessica and Emily did this:-)
We have been busy getting repairs done on the house, moving things into the new addition, and homeschooling and running to the various doctors appointments for Mercy. I am posting several pictures here of our many adventures! :-)
