Simple morning rituals

From the world of dreams!
To wake your child, think of alternatives to a noisy alarm clock or a loud voice: chimes, a bell, a flute, any gentle, celebrating sound to lull your child out of sleep. As your child drifts from the world of dreams, avoid asking questions for several minutes, so your child can get each foot planted firmly on the ground. Respect the time your child needs to make this transition.

Let the sunshine in!
Choose a song or verse to enjoy as you and your child/children open t he curtains or pull up the shades each morning. Gaze out the window and observe the day's weather her, the colors of the sky, the cloud formations, the way the grass and plants appear. Be investigators of nature together.

A prayer corner:
Arrange a room or corner of the house as a peaceful space for prayer. Each member of the family may want to sit in it for a few minutes each day.

A parting blessing:
The way we depart from one another can affect our whole day. When family members leave for work or school, you can create a parting blessing to recite or sing together. a love-filled parting can go a long way over the course of the day!

Have a happy day!!
