thanksgiving day!

Today we did some further decorating in the school room. We now have our nature table in there and some nice touches added as well. We hung up "tom" our turkey wind sock that is looking quite nice despite his 19 yrs of age! LOL! We also revamped our tree of all seasons. It is redone in a nice sturdy plaster with lovely colored sand over the top and some polished stones. We will decorate it for Thanksgiving when I am assured it is totally dry.

I am so glad to see our neighbors have taken down their gastly halloween decoration. My goodness I cannot believe grown people actually like this kind of thing! I think it makes the beauty of Autumn as eyesore.

Anyway we are having a very windy day today. The children gathered up some sticks for our inside "tree". We also put up our pilgrim poster on our schoolroom door. I love decorating, can't wait to decorate for winter. I have quite a few ideas so far!

The children did phonics, Just a review of J,K,andL. We are also covering some small bits of geometry, it is actually just learning shapes.LOL!!

This Friday we will be in Footville for our annual Thanksgiving fellowship dinner. Our church has this every year. I don't always attend though. I plan to this year. Jessica and Emily are on the planning committee. Should be a nice time and really good food as well!

Well guess I better get a moving, Savannah is beckoning me LOL!
